GRAD NIGHT is a drug-free and alcohol-free all-night celebration for graduating GBN Seniors. The event is held at the high school the night of graduation, Sunday, May 31, 2020. Seniors check in at 11 pm and are not allowed to leave until 5 am the following morning. There is no cost for admission and all graduating GBN seniors are invited.
The short answer is: to safeguard GBN graduates on the night of their graduation. But Grad Night is so much more - as the last time the class of 2020 will be all-together, it is a night to make final high school memories in a safe environment before everyone scatters to college and real life!
The Grad Night committee, made up of volunteer parents from all four grades, spends the entire year planning the event. From fundraising, to entertainment, to food, to publicity, to prizes, there is something for everyone to do. Contact Elyssa Siegel to join the committee and help make a difference for our graduates!
GRAD NIGHT happens because of the combined efforts of hundreds of parent volunteers, local businesses, civic organizations, the GBN administration and staff, and many others in the community.
Grad Night is so big, it needs a huge investment of both time and money. ALL PARENTS are asked to support Grad Night, either through a monetary donation, time volunteering or both. The weekend of Grad Night needs hundreds of volunteers for decorating, set-up, clean-up, and of course, helping oversee the actual event. The Steering Committee is always looking for cash donations, donations of food, and donations of appropriate prizes for raffles and other activities that occur throughout the night.
YOUR CHILD WILL BE A SENIOR BEFORE YOU KNOW IT - AND WILL BENEFIT FROM THE SAME SUPPORT THE GBN COMMUNITY PROVIDES EVERY YEAR. IT IS NEVER TOO EARLY TO GET INVOLVED!
